Strong Inside ARCs are prepared to be mailed to media.
It has been an exciting week in the progress of the book as the Advance Review Copies (ARCs) arrived at Vanderbilt University Press. The ARCs are now on their way to book reviewers and long-lead media around the country. For the last eight years, the book had only existed as an idea in my head, a file on my computer, or a print-out on copy paper, so it was quite a thrill to be able to hold what is pretty close to an actual book. The ARCs are paperback, while the ‘real thing’ will be in hard cover, and some final edits are not reflected in the ARCs, but otherwise, it’s the real deal. Official publication date for the book remains Dec. 1, but it is exciting to know that some members of the media will begin reading it as soon as this week.
