Multiple Events Upcoming

October 2, 2014

coverSo, now it begins. After 8 years working on Strong Inside, I’ll begin speaking about it in earnest next week.

First up is an Oct. 10 appearance at Nashville’s Southern Festival of Books, where I’ll be paired up with the New York Times’ Clay Risen for a talk at noon in Legislative Plaza Room 16.

On November 19, I’ll speak at Nashville’s best-known independent bookstore, Parnassus Books, at 6:30 p.m.

On Dec. 1, I’ll join Perry Wallace in Washington, D.C. for a 7 p.m. event at the highly regarded Politics & Prose.

On Dec. 3, Perry and I will be in Nashville to speak at the downtown public library at 6 pm as part of the MP&F Speaker Series.

On Dec. 4, we’ll be on the Vanderbilt campus for a 2pm discussion at the Vanderbilt Library, and Perry will be recognized at the Vanderbilt-Baylor basketball game that night at 6 p.m.

Hope to see a lot of you out there for one or more of these events!

  • “In a magnificently reported, nuanced
but raw account of basketball and racism in the South during the 1960s, Andrew Maraniss tells the story of Perry Wallace’s struggle, loneliness, perseverance and eventual self-realization. A rare story about physical and intellectual courage that is both shocking and triumphant. ”

Bob Woodward, Washington Post associate editor and author
